Abstract

246,289. Suttle, C. E. Dec. 30. 1924. Atmospheric gas burners.-An atmospheric gas burner 9 is provided with a central tube 6, which protrudes beyond the burner outlets 5 into a tubular heating element 16 and which is provided with perforations, or nozzles 15 for supplying additional air to the flame. The burner comprises a tube 1, having end flanges 3, to which the tube 6 is secured, and a lateral mixing-tube 13. The inner end of the tube 6 may be closed or provided with one or more outlets 14, and the outer end may protrude beyond the lower side of the burner and terminate in a bell-mouth or the like provided with an air-regulator. The element 16 communicates with a chimney or the like.
