Abstract

4569. Wilson, W. A. Feb. 23. Gas burners.-Relates to tubular burners for gas fires, cookers, grillers, stoves, &c., of the kind in which the whole length of the tube is provided with flame jet orifices and all the flame jets are of the same length, and consists in the provision of a web W between the mixing- chamber B<1> and burner B. The length of the web W depends on the length and diameter of the burner, and its edge is straight or may be V-shaped. The gas and air enter through an aperture 0, either through a tube or beneath a plate T<1> of the same length. The arrangement previously described is for use with a burner of normal length, but when a larger burner is used, it is tapered as shown in Fig. 4, and the apertures brought into alinement by graduated nipples N. The burner may be tapered at the sides.
