Atmospheric gas burners.-In a burner in which the inlet end of the' mixing-tube a is provided with a hood c, or the air-inlet is at one side of the mixing-tube, the axis d of the gas stream issuing from one or more orifices in a nipple b is inclined, preferably at an angle of tbout 5‹, to the axis e of the mixing-tube, or displaced parallel to the axis e, in the direction of the air-inlet side.
