5822. Davidson, F. N. March 8. Atmospheric vapour burners; vaporizing-apparatus.-A vapour lamp has a fuel reservoir F with a wick H supported in a tube, on each side of which are small burners I for vaporizing the fuel; a transverse jet-tube K has a needle valve L to regulate the supply of vapour to a long tube C, which is provided with air inlets C<2>, and perforations at which the mixture is burnt. An auxiliary burner surrounding the wick H may be used instead of the burners I. The tube C may be horizontal, as shown, the lamp being used for heating a thermo-electric battery; or the lamp may be modified for other purposes.
