452,903. Gas burners. HANSEN, C. V., 6, Frederiksberg AllÚ, Frederiksberg, Denmark. Feb. 3, 1936, No. 3166. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1935. [Class 75 (i)] In a gas burner for cooking and heating purposes in which radial outlet passages are formed by partitions 3 between the body 4 and a plate 1 resting thereon, the parts are so constructed that the passages extend zigzag in the radial planes. As shown, the body 4 has an annular rib 13 and the partitions 3 and an annular rib 2 are integral with the plate 1. Alternatively, the partitions 3 and the part of the rib 2 shown below the dotted line in Fig. 2, may be formed as a separate member. Gas or gaseous mixtures is supplied through a central passage 7 in the body. The partitions 3 preferably increase in width outwardly and towards the upper end so that the passages decrease in cross-sectional area towards the outer end to increase the outlet velocity of the gas for drawing in secondary air from the spaces between the outlets. The edge 12 of the plate, or only the lower portion thereof, converges downwards.
