A solid fuel block G may be placed on the fuel plate E behind the wall of fuel F. The burner may be divided into a number of slits A in line or lines with spacings C between, as shown in Fig. 3, for the purpose of supporting fuel radiants, in which case the upper part of the burner projects through the slot D and above the fuel plate E.
