Abstract
221,859. Schmidt, G. F. June 18, 1923. Atmospheric gas burners.-Burner-heads, particularly for gas-fire burners, are provided with a grid 16 consisting of a rectangular metal, preferably brass, block formed with two series of parallel slots 17, 19 extending from side to side of, and substantially half-way through, the block at right-angles to one another so as to form a plurality of openings for the passage of the gaseous mixture, the lower ends 21 of the bars 20, between the slots 19, being bevelled. The lower face of the block may have a greater number of slots than the upper face. The grid is fitted in a rectangular opening of a burnerhead 15 which tapers to a cylindrical portion adapted to be screwed into an aperture in the mixing-chamber of a gas-fire burner.
