Abstract
224,864. Bemberg Akt.-Ges., J. P. Nov. 17, 1923, [Convention date]. Addition to 224,503. Apparatus for making fidaments. - Relates to the apparatus for spinning artificial silk from cuprammonia cellulose solutions according to the stretch-spinning method described in the parent Specification, in which the filaments meet first with a counter current of the precipitating-liquid and subsequently, when sufficiently hardened, with a current moving in the same direction as the filaments. According to the present invention, the precipitation vessel takes the form of a plain cylindrical chamber e having the spinning- nozzle b at the upper part, and at the lower part an inlet s for precipitating-liquid and the main outlet r; a secondary outlet d for the liquid is provided at the upper part of the vessel e. The bottom of the vessel is preferably conical to facilitate the passage of the filaments through the outlet r, and the inlet s for the liquid may be arranged as a side branch in the outlet.
