Ammoniacal-copper cellulose solutions, processes for making filaments from ; apparatus for making filaments.-The process of the parent Specification for the stretch spinning of ammoniacal-cupper cellulose so utions at low temperatures, for example, at 20‹-30‹ C. or below is modified by increasing the length of the vertical column of water used as coagulant to substantially above 35 centimeters and preferably to between 50 and 80 centimeters. At the end of its path the thread is completely coagulated. As a result of this increased path of coagulation ammoniacal-copper solutions prepared from cotton can be spun in addition to those prepared from wood pulp, straw, or passes, such as alfa grass. Specification 8083/02, [Class 120, Spinning], is referred to.
