Cellulose solutions, processes for making filaments from.-To obtain viscose silk showing an increased tensile strength both wet and dry, while employing a normal viscose and a normal coagulation bath at normal temperature, the thread, in the process of spinning, is given an extended travel, at least 50 cms., in the coagulating bath. Thus the thread is passed in an horizontal direction through the bath for a length of 2.5 metres, and is thereupon carried at an angle through the air. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) includes the use of an extended travel in the coagulation bath in the manufacture of artificial silk. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification. as accepted.
