Abstract

Artificial silk, artificial horsehair, &c. are made by using the acetates of the parent Specifications in concentrations in the spinning solutions of less than 20 per cent, preferably of 10 or 5 per cent or less. The threads and filaments so produced one of round section, show less "glitter" effect, have good covering power, exhibit increased strength both wet and dry, and do not become woolly when heated with water. Specification 210,108 also is referred to.
