Abstract

219,864. Mitchell, E. Nov. 29, 1923. Lateral-splash guards, mounted in such manner that they are capable of vertical movement, have the carrying-frame fitted with one or more wheels D at the leading, and also, if desired, at the tail, end, these wheels being disposed at an angle to the plane of the road wheel so that they will climb a kerb and lift the guard. The frame is hinged at A to a bracket B upon the wheel axle, compression springs E about vertical rods on the bracket resting upon the frame to hold it yieldingly in its normal position.
