Abstract

212,311. Lymn, A. H. Dec. 8, 1922. Producers. - The coking of fuel is prevented by a heat treatment increasing gradually from about 250‹ C. to 500‹ C. during passage through a preliminary distillation zone provided with agitators. The fuel is charged into a shaft f of considerably less cross section than the body d of the producer. from which a part of the hot gas passes through the charge in the shaft escaping by an outlet k, the remainder passing out by an outlet j. Vertical stirring shafts l having arms r are provided on the shaft f. Specifications 1764/08 and 15467/15 are referred to.
