Abstract

Mixing air and gas; cylinders, pipes for.-Gas passing to the induction pipe d from a pipe a is intimately mixed with air from a pipe b by passing through a series of wire-gauze cup-shaped elements f placed together as shown, so that the streams of air and gas are alternately made to converge and diverge, the wire forming the gauze being preferably square in cross-section so as to form pronounced passages for directing the flow. The air passage b is controlled by a throttle c connected to the governor.
