Abstract

204,948. Carden, J. V. Nov. 10, 1922. Valves.-In a two-stroke engine, the mixture is admitted to the crank-case side of the pistons of a pair of cylinders by rotary disc valves K, K<1> arranged on the crank shaft at opposite sides of s valve casing G arranged between the two cylinders. The mixture is supplied by an arcuate or annular passage H formed within the casing G and passes through ports I, I<1> in the sides of the casing, recesses L in the valves, and ports J, J<1> in the periphery of the casing.
