Abstract

198,885. Kodama, R. May 15, 1922. Starting.-The piston is heated or cooled by air admitted to its interior through telescopie pipes and supplied from a reservoir G by a twostage compressor 3 which delivers from the lowpressure and either directly through the pipe 7 or through a heat exchanger 5 and a pipe 8. The high-pressure air is similarly delivered hot or cooled to a reservoir 26 for starting.
