Abstract

137,334. Zurovec, W. June 3, 1918, [Convention date]. Regulating. - Revolving cylinders are cooled by converting water in their jackets into steam, which flows from the jacket 2 through a pipe 7 into a surface condenser 4 and after being condensed returns to the jacket by a pipe 6. The condenser rotates with the cylinders; its tubes 5 are involutes of a circle. The steam may drive through a turbine 10, a pump 11 for compressing combustible mixture, or a fan for forcing air through the tube 5. A valve controlled by the vacations in atmospheric pressure may determine the quantities of steam flowing respectively to the turbine and direct to the condenser.
