Abstract
152,872. Davey, A. N. Nov. 1, 1919. Motor power plant; working-fluid supply; cooling parts.-In an internal-combustion turbine, the combustion chamber a, the nozzle j, and the turbine casing b are water-jacketed and the water therefrom is led to a regenerator c to which the exhaust gases pass by the pipe q leaving by the pipe r. Pipes l, n and p, o connect the water jackets together and to the regenerator. Steam raised in these sources may be used to drive a turbine or reciprocating engine actuating the compression pumps for the gas and air, or on the turbine blades, or otherwise. The valves e and d controlling the air and gas inlet ports g and the outlet port h respectively are actuated in the embodiment described by a motor i. The sparking-plug is indicated at k. The exit port h to the expanding nozzle j is shaped as shown in Fig. 2.
