Flooring-slabs.-In floors consisting of slabs supported by concrete beams, the unsupported edges of the slabs are grooved, as shown in Fig. 2, so that the cement filling forms a key. The upper groove is short and contains a metal bar 13 which extends over the beam into the opposite slab. Specification 13,785/10, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.], is referred to.
