[Class 20 (iv)] A reinforced concrete floor structure comprises spaced parallel girders each including two reinforced concrete elements 1 of L-section arranged with their horizontal flanges towards each other to form a U- shaped casing, reinforced concrete slabs 3 resting by their edges on the upper edges of the vertical flanges and covering the spaces between the girders, and a concrete filling 4 cast in the casing flush with the upper surfaces of the slabs to bind the girder elements and slabs together. A wooden insert 2, which may be fixed on one of the elements 1 at the time of production, is interposed between the elements 1 at the base of the U, and serves to secure the ceiling formed of rafters 5a nailed to the upper surface of wooden sheets 5. The slabs or T beams 3 have positioning ribs 3a on the lower surface. The filling 4 may be reinforced: 6 denotes the upper covering of the floor, shown as a parquet floor on joists disposed parallel to the elements 1. Conduits for piping &c. may be formed as shown. The girders may be strutted and the elements 1 locked, e.g. by cramping frames during erection.
