Abstract

389,551. Concrete floors. CARSON, N. B., 140, West George Street, Glasgow. Oct. 22, 1931, No. 29315. [Classes 20 (ii) and 20 (iv).] Reinforced -concrete floors casting in situ.- The floors have ribs and main beams beneath, and are cast in situ by means of permanent centring 12, 13, which is formed of soundproof material such as fibre board or asbestos cement, supported by members 17, 20, 21 suspended from the cores 5 of the main beams and ribs. The centring may have flanges which meet under the ribs, or separate plates of similar material may be used beneath the ribs. The cores 5 of the main beams are carried by the column cores, so that no props or temporary staging need be used. Specification 308,105, [Class 20 (ii), Buildings and structures, Miscellaneous accessories &c.], is referred to.
