334,915. Rheocrete Pumice Stone Slab Co., Ltd., and Whitaker, D. June 12, 1929. Joist floors.-Floors in which reinforced concrete slabs rest on the lower flanges of joists, are provided with a fireproof and soundproof filling 4 of a softer or more yielding nature than the material of the slabs so as to distribute concentrated loads. As an example, the filling 4 may be composed of six parts of <3>/8 in. to <3>/10 in. pumice aggregate and one part of cement. The joists may be of the kind having one of the upper flanges omitted, as described in Specification 334,914.
