Abstract

542,282. Building slabs. CARPENTER, G. June 27, 1940, No. 10939. [Class 87 (i)] A unitary slab &c. is formed of cement, or plaster; or a composite material of low specific gravity, such as diatomaceous, earth, wood shavings &c. bound together by a cement-wash. &c. and is reinforced by ribs or strips of concrete disposed, in grooves 8, Fig. 2, and reinforced by metal bars &c. 9, 10. As shown in Fig. 6, the grooves 20 may be formed in intersecting ribs 18, 19. The reinforcement may be in the form of folded strips.
