Abstract

560,990. Huts. GIBSON, G. M. Oct. 19, 1942, No. 14591. [Class 20 (i)] A hut comprises an arcuate roof formed of precast rectangular or hexagonal slabs, walls formed of rectangular slabs or bricks, and reinforced concrete buttresses disposed at intervals along the sides of the hut. The buttresses 1 are of hollow triangular shape and carry at their upper ends longitudinals 4 adapted to receive the ends of the roof slabs 5 which may be panelled. The edges of the slabs are bevelled to receive waterproofing material or a nailing material for an inside lining. Specification 558,279 is referred to. The floor 9 may be of rubble filled with porous concrete and may be covered with wood.
