557,078. Walls; panels. DAVISON, R. L. April 30, 1942, No. 5824. Convention date, May 15, 1941. [Class 20 (iv)] The side walls of a house comprise widely spaced posts 25 secured at their lower ends and panels 30 secured to the faces of the posts at their upper ends, each panel having at the top a longitudinal ledger piece 31, 32 which rests on the top of and fit into notches in the posts. Lower panels 45 consist of cellular board material covered inside and outside with asbestos cement board. Similar composite panels 58 are applied to the outer surfaces of the panels 30. Sill elements 38 and finish strips 39 extending around the building provide supports for intermediate panels 57 and for the lower panels 45. The roof structure rests upon the ledger pieces 31. Reinforced concrete beams 17 rest on hollow concrete foundation blocks 15 and are secured in position by concrete 15b in which are embedded straps for anchoring the posts 25.
