Abstract

540,322. Huts. HASTING, C. A. May 21, 1940; No. 9025. [Class 20 (i)] A hut comprises upper and lower metal channel section bars 1, 2 of light construction defining the shape of the enclosure and interconnected by similar section uprights, and a cambered roof of composition-protected, metal-corrugated sheets 5 having overlapping joints at the centre and provided with edge angles 4 by which they are connected to the upper frame members. The centres of the roof sheets are connected by struts 6 to cross ties 3 which extend between the opposed upper frame members 1. The outside covering is of composition-protected, metal-corrugatedplates, and an inner lining of composition board 9 is secured to battens 10 secured to the outer covering so as to form hollow spaces in the walls. The floor is formed of spaced-apart asbestos-cement pipes 11 with an interfilling of concrete and the whole is covered with a layer of concrete.
