[Class 87 (i)] A building panel 1 which may be in one piece or formed as a frame with inner and outer skins 2, 3 has jointing elements 4, 5 with wedge shaped ends 8, 9 adapted to interengage with like parts on adjacent panels whereby the latter are drawn into abutting relationship, the jointing elements shown in Fig. 3 projecting above and below at 6, 7 to engage the edges of panels above and below as shown in Fig. 1; the lowermost panels are located between spaced floor members 13 of triple-channel section and similar section beam members are arranged at the upper edges of the panels 1, 11 and 12 to form a framework for an upper storey. Tongue portions 23, 24 extend along the lower and upper edges of the panel for attachment to the framework of the building. One or both of the wedge shaped jointing elements may be slidably mounted, Fig. 10 showing jointing elements 32, 33 on adjacent panels, the element 32 being slidable in a hollow support 39 secured to the middle channel 34 of a triplechannel section reinforcement 27 on the one panel and the other wedge element 33 fixed to a similar reinforcement 29 on the adjacent panel. Fig. 20 shows a solid panel 65 of concrete, breeze, asbestos, synthetic resin &c. with its lateral edges received in the outer channels of edge reinforcement-members 66 and Fig. 23 a construction of panel comprising an inner skin 65<1> and an outer filling of bricks 65<111>.
