[Class 20 (iv)] A reinforced concrete floor is composed of alternate T-section and channel-section beams, 1 and 2 respectively. Two channel-section beams may be placed together to support a heavier local load 6. Rebates 4 are provided at the edges of the channel beams to support the edges of the T-beams. A ceiling may be supported from the floor ribs by metallic fastenings engaging both. The adjacent edges of the beams may be provided with projecting interlocking parts. In Fig. 4, the beams may be combined with hollow tiles 14 which form a continuous ceiling surface, and may be provided with rebates 3 or projections 12, 13.
