518,481. Joist floors; blocks. MORELLI, C. July 25, 1938, No. 22014. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Jan. 30, 1939.] [Class 20 (iv)] Ceilings and floors comprise hollow blocks 10 having. U-shaped upper and lower parts 1', 1<11>, respectively, to receive concrete 2 or reinforcedconcrete 2<1>, by which a number of blocks are joined end-to-end to form beams. Slabs 4 are rested on the tops of the beams and secured in place to form a level floor by further concrete 20 deposited between their ends. A level ceiling is formed by sliding slabs 4 into interlocking engagement with ribs 11 formed on the lower parts of the blocks. Large hollows 30 are thus formed between the beams. The Specificationas open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a U-shaped beam-block, Fig: 2 (Canceled), similarly formed with external ribs 11, and also shows the slabs 3 to be formed with a number of apertures running through them. Arched beams are also shown. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
