Abstract

943,302. Reinforced concrete floors and ceilings. RHEINBAU G.m.b.H. Sept. 4, 1961 [Sept. 9, 1960], No. 31731/61. Heading E1V. A support structure for a reinforced concrete floor or ceiling comprises a plurality of parallel trusses including bottom chords 2, Fig. 6, a web 4 adapted to constitute a concrete form and plaster carrier, the web being rigid only along axes extending in one direction, and means for securing the web 4 to said bottom chords of the trusses with said axes extending transversely of said trusses. The web 4 may be of expanded metal formed with stiffening ribs 5, Fig. 4, and the securing means may comprise plates 6, adapted to seat within the ribs, carrying wires or rods 7 which may be twisted over the bottom chords 2. The web may also comprise a mat of reeds. A structural steel mat and/or imperforate foils may be inserted between the bottom chords 2 and the web 4.
