A concrete roof or floor comprises box shaped members 1 arranged to define a network of intersecting channels 2, 3, each of which receives parallel reinforcement rods and concrete poured in-situ, the channels 3 containing U-shaped members 4 which constitute closure means for preventing the in-situ poured concrete from entering hollows which extend through the members 1 transversely to the channels 3, the systems of parallel reinforcing rods in the channels 2 lying in a different plane than those in the channels 3. The members 1 may be formed of one or more hollow elements.
