1402850 Concrete floors PENMAN STRUCTURES Ltd 11 Oct 1972 [13 July 1971 22 Jan 1972] 32702/71 and 3124/72 Heading E1W A concrete floor is cast-in-situ over ribbed permanent metal forms 6 supported on the shoulders of pre-cast concrete beams I having initially projecting reinforcement 5a. A plasterboard ceiling 4 is supported via battens 3. The concrete beams 1 are supported on metal I-joists 11 having welded-on lower plates 12 and shear connectors 13. These joists are in turn supported by tubular steel stanchions 14 filled with concrete. The ribs (9), Fig. 2 (not shown) are of M-section, and taper to nothing at each end, as shown. in Fig. 1.
