Abstract
1,041,079. Erecting buildings. RICHARD COSTAIN Ltd. Aug. 24, 1964 [Aug. 23, 1963], No. 33464/63. Heading E1A. A building is erected by casting a roof 8 at ground level with storey height column sections 5 and raising it in steps by operating jacks 4 in the basement in groups and inserting blocks 9 as is necessary between the jacks and the column sections. When raised to one storey height the jacks are released in groups and the blocks replaced by sections of columns. A floor 7 is then cast at ground level to join the two sets of column sections together and the whole again raised in steps the height of one storey. Further storeys are added similarly. Each floor may be reinforced by steel or reinforced concrete beams round the edges.
