Abstract

1,034,101. Prefabricated multi-storey buildings; building appliances. ELCON A.G. Jan. 14, 1963 [Jan. 27, 1962], No. 3199/62. Headings E1A and E1S. In a multi-storey building, Fig. 1, erected on an inclined site and wherein each storey 1, 2, 3, 4 consists of prefabricated cellular room elements 5 disposed end to end with a vertical joint face 6 between adjacent elements, the storeys are arranged in overlapping stepped formation as shown. The room elements may be constructed as disclosed in Specification 1,019,628 and have their frame members bolted, welded or riveted together. Alternatively the room elements may be made of pre-stressed reinforced concrete with reinforcing ribs and suitably interconnected, see Figs. 9-13 (not shown). In a modification the room elements are mounted on footings 15<SP>1</SP>, 16, Fig. 14, which are supported by an inverted V-frame 20<SP>1</SP>.
