820,559. Multi-storey garages. PIAZOLO, L. W. Jan. 15, 1957 [Feb. 8, 1956], No. 1441/57. Class 20(1) A multi-storey garage of the spiral type is prefabricated from a number of similarly shaped sectors, each capable of being assembled or dismantled in one piece. Each sector has a main support 12 engaging a bifurcated joist 13. Joists 14, 15 and 16 complete the framework across which are disposed ceiling joists 19 to support individual ceiling slabs 20. The sectors are fastened together by bolts and fish plates and are such that erection may be carried out with a jib crane on the building itself. The garage is built on foundation walls 1 and pedestrian ramps 9 and lifts 10 are provided. In a modified form the garage is constructed completely below the entrance.
