1,177,625. Skeleton frameworks for multistorey buildings. TURNER & NEWALL Ltd. 6 March, 1967 [2 April, 1966], No. 4651/66. Heading E1A. A skeleton, steel framework for a multistorey building consists of corner columns 15, 18 extending to core level and intermediate columns 21 of storey height, all the columns having the same cross-section and being interconnected by beams such as 27, 28. The corner columns support roof trusses 53 carrying portions 61 and end plates 57. Temporary struts such as 63 are used in erection prior to the columns and beams being bolted to-gether, see Figs. 5, 6 and 7 (not shown). The framework carries panels of concrete or asbestos or wooden or steel-framed window units for details of which and mode of attachment, Figs. 11 and 12 (not shown) should be referred to.
