Abstract

The modular building unit is made of reinforced concrete and intended for animal-rearing. The units are quickly erected, the only work necessary prior to erection being the levelling of the ground where it comes into contact with the walls. The maximum width of the units is 25m and each individual unit is 5m long. The frames are first erected forming the transverse skeleton of the building, using prefabricated elements. These two frames are then joined by prefabricated panels forming the walls, floors and roof. Additional frames are erected in the same way until the required length of the building is reached. Each frame consists of two columns linked by a longitudinal beam which is fastened to the base of the columns, and an upper beam which is supported on the tops of the columns.
