Abstract

The prefabricated concrete frame elements for the construction of single storey buildings have a combination of cross shaped vertical columns supporting rectangular horizontal beams. The cross shaped vertical columns provide a simple plate bearing at the top end for the horizontal beams and are set into shaped recesses in prefabricated foundation blocks. The foundation blocks also provide a plate bearing surface for the precast runners which take the non load bearing facing panels. Intermediate bearing blocks are provided when the runners are of considerable length.
