Abstract

The transformer house is supported on a foundation (1) which rests on a sand covered excavation. The foundation supports the floor slab (2) which in turn supports the machinery. The building has prefabricated vertical lateral facade panels (3, 4, 5, 6) in one or more elements, and a flat horizontal roof (7) in one or more prefabricated elements. The ground beams of the foundation (8, 9, 10, 11) support the building while the transverse beams (12, 13, 14) provide intermediate support for the floor slab. All the beams have threaded bolt holes for lifting the beams and for fixing the elements together.
