Abstract

The structure consists of precast concrete columns, the heads of which are of cruciform shape. These columns (2) are erected in a grid pattern. The columns are linked together by precast beams (3) which take the form of an inverted U with a lip on the outside face of each leg of the U. The beams rest on the cross members of the cruciform of the columns and can meet those members at an angle of 45 degrees or with the axis of the beam parallel to that of two of the cross members. The floor units (4) are also of U shape and at each end they have a lip which rests on the lip of the beam.
