Abstract

1,262,395. Prefabricated buildings; wall panels. J. G. McGARRY. 13 March, 1970 [13 March, 1969], No. 12324/70. Headings E1A and E1B. In a prefabricated building consisting of corner columns 1 and intermediate columns 2 each slotted to receive rising wall panels 8 and wall panels 3 each column is provided with an integral pedestal or footing 10 shaped as shown. The columns are provided with bolt holes 21 whereby the roof rafters and bracing straps may be bolted thereto. The members 1, 2, 3 and 8 are made of re-inforced concrete, assembled on a prepared base and used in association with window, sill and door components, see Fig. 1 (not shown). Each wall panel is provided with an upwardlydirected flange 37, a downwardly-directed flange, moisture sealing lips such as 38 and interfit with one another to exclude water, a sealing compound being used therebetween. An angle-iron 11 with a wooden packing strip 12 is bolted to the column 1 to define the grooves 14 therein. For minor details consisting erection, sealing, reinforcing the Specification and remaining drawings, (not shown), should be referred to.
