Abstract

1410050 Method of erecting buildings H R HOUDIN 23 Nov 1972 [26 Nov 1971] 54178/72 Heading E1S A method of constructing a building involves the steps of forming a rectangular framework 12, supporting same on posts at roof level, temporary supporting the roof trusses 20-26 on the framework, providing temporary protective sheeting 40 external of the periphery of the building to be erected to allow the walls 4 to be built and then allowing the roof loading to be transmitted to the walls by removing the framework 12. The protective sheeting may be transparent or translucent and is secured to posts 38 having inclined arms 39 fixed to the framework 12, the latter including beams of articulated construction to facilitate removal. The sheeting is also fixed to a framework along the end walls and anchored by means of cables for details of which together with minor details concerning the roof trusses, foundations, anchorages etc the Specification should be referred to.
