700,401. Building slabs. RICHARDS, W. H. April 28, 1950 [April 28, 1949], No. 11323/49. Class 87 (1) A building slab comprises an apertured core 2 embedded in a facing layer or layers 6, 8 of concrete or plaster reinforced respectively with expanded metal 7 or hessian 10, the apertures of the core being smaller at their ends than at their centres. The core 2 may be of perforated or expanded metal 4 covered with plaster 18 or of wood or resin and may have a peripheral groove 14 formed in a thickened edge 12. The apertures may be filled with an insulating material 24 such as cork and an adhesive. Specifications 700,402 and 700,430, [Group V], are referred to.
