Joist floors; walls.-Instead of anchoring the joists to the concrete wall by prongs as described in the parent Specificaton, a wall-plate E of wood or angle iron is anchored by metal pieces F, and the joists are secured to the wall-plate. The wall comprises stretchers A spaced and secured by ties B, and sheets or slabs C of asbestos cement or the like as described in Specification 113,725, [Class 87 (i), Bricks &c.]. The walls are preferably stepped to form a seat for the wall-plate.
