297,919. Sorensen, H. Aug. 5, 1927. Reinforced-concrete floors. - Pairs of angled bars 1, 2, extending in two directions, are laid on temporary forms 8 and embedded in concrete which is applied over the whole surface to form main and transverse beams 1<a>, 2<a> within the floor thickness, and intermediate floor slabs 17. The bars may be formed by bending sheet metal to an acute angle, or may be tee bars; they are spaced and fixed by plates 7 and staples 13. The ends of the flanges are bent down into the walls 9 and main concrete girders 10, or around the flanges of main steel joists, and the ends of the transverse bars 2 are shaped to fit the sides of the bars 1. Additional bars may be added, as shown in Fig. 8, and be spaced by plates with parallel sides.
