[Class 20 (iv).] Relates to means for forming permanent centring for hollow concrete walls, floors, and roofs, and consists in a construction involving the use of metallic sheets with dovetail or undercut corrugations, placed together with their edges contacting to form a hollow body engaging with metal bars of H, I, or U-section by means of the flanges. The whole is covered with concrete without the use of temporary shuttering. As shown, applied to walls in Figs. 2 and 3, troughs are formed by bending corrugated metal sheets 1, Fig. 2, across the corrugations at positions such as 5, 4. Thereby inclined sides 6 are provided at the wall corners and lips 7 which abut to form a cavity 15 and engage between the flanges of the girder 8. The girder 8 is fixed into the ground or otherwise arranged vertically and may be supplemented by a second girder 9. A similar construction is shown in Fig. 9 applied to a curved roof. For floors, inverted troughs are formed by bending corrugated sheets 1, Fig. 5, and are laid on flat corrugated sheets 1<x>. Before laying, the upper sheet may be rendered with fine concrete. Vertical stirrups 30 may be placed as and where required. After completion, the lower sheeting may be rendered with concrete. The lower sheeting may be dispensed with.
