779,813. Shuttering for casting roofs; building units KWIKFORM, Ltd. Aug. 24, 1954 [June 16, 1953; March 25, 1954], Nos. 16487/53 and 8674/54. Classes 20(2), 20(4) and 87(1) An arched roof or hut of concrete &c. is formed or panels 17, Figs. 2 and 3, supported temporarily on curved beams 11 while curved ribs 33, Fig. 3, are cast in spaces between adjacent vertical rows of panels against the shuttering provided by the beams 11. Narrow flexible shuttering panels 12 may be mounted on the beams 11, which are the nexible beams described in Specification 719,233. Horizontal beams 25 are formed of sections the same length as the panels and have reinforcement extending into and cast in the rib 33. A window 29 is mounted between two of these beams. In a modification Fig. 6 the roof is formed of panels each comprising sheets 34, 35 connected by a corrugated sheet 36 between them; the horizontal edges of the sheets 35 of adjacent panels, abutting and the sheets 34 being dimensioned so as to leave a gap between them in which the horizontal beams 37 are cast. The panels may be filled with sound and water insulating material. Bitumen may be used instead of concrete. Specifications 574,457 and 668,374 also are referred to.
