Metal-skeleton slabs; flooring and ceiling slabs. -In a slab building, the walls, floors, and ceilings are formed of metal framed sections comprising grooved blocks or slabs 2 clamped between channel bars 5, 8 by tie rods 6, 9. The walls &c. may be formed of single large sections or of several sections secured together. The blocks may be concrete, earthenware, or wood, and the bars 5, 8 may be of H or other section and may be of precast concrete, wood, &c. The sections may be preformed or be built in place. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 15460/94, 16654/94, and 24670/94.
