Abstract

Walls. - In the wall described in Specification 153,758 and formed of blocks or slabs comprising concrete - faced wooden frames bolted together and the whole concreted over, precast independent concrete ribs or stanchions 3 with dovetailed sides are inserted in the horizontal or vertical joints and are united to the concrete covering by strips 9 of expanded metal cast in the ribs. The ribs or stanchions may be made in short lengths butted together. Felt packing strips 7, 8 are placed between the blocks and ribs, and the spaces adjacent to the dovetailed sides are grouted. The stanchions and woodwork may be perforated for air circulation.
