Abstract

175,219. Norman, G. May 5, 1921. Double walls.-A building is formed of narrow precast concrete slabs c extending from foundation to eaves, and similar slabs h of storey height. The reinforcing bars d of both sets of slabs project at the top, and bars d<2>, d' project from the outer slabs into the concrete floor cast in situ. The slabs engage grooves or rabbets in the foundation and floors, and the inner slabs have a top spacing-nib l<1>. The floor beams rest in recesses in the wall slabs. Concrete columns may be used in the walls.
